Holy Shepherd Weekly News
Greetings in the Name of our Risen Lord and Savior! We especially welcome those of you to our congregation who are visiting. This is a weekly series of announcements designed to keep you in the know. Here is what's happening this week…
Bible Study
This Sunday we’ll watch a brief video/slide show about our recent trip to Port Arthur . Come and see how Holy Shepherd members are helping families to rebuild!
Voters’ Meeting
Our Second Quarterly voters’ meeting will be held on Sunday, April 6 following the late service. Among the regular business, we will also discuss the approval of funds for a new parking lot as well as the ratification of a fifth elder.
Spring Garage Sale
Our youth will sponsor a church wide garage sale here at Holy Shepherd on April 26th. If you have anything you’d like to donate, please contact Bob Lemke at: blemke@balfourbeattyus.com . The youth will do some pick-ups on Saturday, April 12.
Adult Instruction resumes
The pastor’s class on the Christian faith resumes this Thursday at 10 AM. A new class will likely begin very soon. If you have an interest in being part of this next class, please let Pastor Bramich know. This class is a basic requirement for those who wish to join Holy Shepherd from outside the Lutheran faith. You may also sign up to take the class as a refresher.
Habitat for Humanity Build in September
Thrivent has enjoyed a strong relationship with Habitat for Humanity for many years. In September, Thrivent and Habitat will team up to build two homes here in Fort Worth , Texas . From Tuesday, September 9th – Saturday, September 13th, volunteers will erect and dry in two homes. Opportunities to volunteer will be offered every Saturday thereafter to complete them.
Pastor Bramich is the area financial coordinator for this venture. Lutheran volunteers and funds are being sought from all Fort Worth Lutheran congregations. If you would like to make a donation of time or volunteer hours, please let Pastor Bramich know.
Parking Lot
The Lord is blessing us with many people on Sunday morning, but we’re finding out that places to park their vehicles is becoming tight! The council has established a parking lot fund that will go towards the installation of additional parking out front. If you would like to make a contribution, please write “parking lot fund” in the memo section of your offering check. We’d like to ask donations to the parking lot fund to be over and above your normal weekly offering. If you are a new member and would like to make a weekly/monthly pledge to Holy Shepherd’s building fund, please see Jeff Underhill .
Confirmation
Confirmation Sunday will be held on Sunday, May4th during the morning service. The confirmation banquet will occur on Friday, May 2nd beginning at 6:30 PM
Messiah Golf tournament
Messiah’s school is holding a golf tournament on April 12. Brochures are available in the narthex if you are interested.

Pray that God would enable us to reach more people with the Gospel
